Easter Canata a hit!

What a wonderful week it has been! Our Easter service was fantastic! Choir - you all did a superb job! I am truly proud of everyone for working so hard and putting forth such a valiant effort to make the service a success. Not to mention everyone who brought visitors! At my count we had 197 in service - that's almost as many folks as we have for homecoming and we didn't have lunch on the grounds! That proves to me the power of word of mouth. Nothing compares to people getting excited about the Lord and sharing their personal experiences with others!

Just before Easter...

It's been one of those weeks! Actually for the last several weeks our entire church has been fighting sickness and when you add in several surgeries and several unforeseen emergenceis things can seem a little out of control. It is blesing to know that God is sovereign and nothing escapes His control! At any rate, I am excited becasue Easter is here! My family is coming into town for the service this weekend and it looks like the service is shaping up to be all that we want it to be as we celebrate the Living Christ! Please make it a point to attend services with us.

God gave us another great day yesterday. The subject matter of our messages has not been the lightest, however, His Word is still alive and it challenges us in every way. The new couple's Sunday school class is winding up the lesson series, "Fireproof your Marriage" which has been fantastic. Financial Peace University is somehwere on the horizon. I am looking forward to Easter this year - my family will be here and we are doing a Cantata, which we have never done before on Easter.

Wow! What a revival! Pastor Karl definitely had the mind of the Lord this week. Each night was better than the last! I am excited about what God is doing in our church. There is so much potential here! Let's keep on rowing - Amen!

Just got back from a week off and an amazing couple's retreat in Myrtle beach, SC. I had a great time with my in-laws and with the 9 couples that went from our church. To top it all off, it snowed 3 inches while we were there! No worries though, it melted by mid afternoon. Fawn and I also spent Sunday in Florence, SC at Peace FWB where Howard Gwartney preached both services. I enjoyed my time off, but I am looking forward to being back home at Immanuel - the best church ever!

Clone of Welcome

God met with us this week! His Word is so alive during our sorship services! I am so thankful to be a part of growing and vibrant church. I beleive this week will prove to be profitable as well. Our couple's retreat begins Friday and my in-laws arrive today. I am excited to see them - they haven't seen Ellie since October!

Welcome

I just have to say that this is extremely exciting! I am thrilled that God has given us a tool like this to build His church. My thoughts and plans will be posted each week, along with my feelings concerning what God is doing in my life and in the church. Just another way to keep you all informed and so you can stay in the loop!
